What Is an Entrepreneurship Degree?
An entrepreneur identifies a need in the market and starts up a business to fill the void. The aim is to be innovative and creative in searching for the answers to a problem, and being able to recognise, analyse and act upon an exciting business idea.
What will I study?
A degree in entrepreneurship will prepare you for the challenges of establishing your own business. You will be provided with a solid foundation in management and key business principles, and will need to understand accounting, marketing and finance. You will become an excellent problem-solver and collaborator and you will learn to manage yourself and others.

In the first year you will gain an introduction to management accounting, financial accounting, marketing and strategy. You will also learn how how people and organisations work and you will start to build the foundations of innovation and creativity ready to start designing your own business ideas.
The second year will introduce you to finance for managers, international business strategy, management skills and the opportunity to practice entrepreneurship. You may also have the opportunity to undertake a work placement and apply your skills in a real-life context.
The final year teaches you applied entrepreneurship and financing entrepreneurship. This year will be your opportunity to actually start establishing your own business idea. You will be given the support to problem-solve, create, present and collaborate in order to get an innovative idea off the ground.
